What is Entertaiment?
Articles
Entertaiment is an activity involving consumption of a product that provides pleasure. It can be enjoyed on a small scale, such as by an individual choosing a personal entertainment from a large array of pre-recorded products available for purchase, or in a social setting: a banquet adapted to two people; a party with music and dance; a play, musical or dance performance intended for thousands. It can be a form of recreation, or relaxation; or an activity that stimulates the brain to release seratonin and dopamine. It can also be a form of education or learning. Bates and Ferri (2010) define it as an activity that is understood objectively, includes communication between text and audience from external stimulus, offers pleasure and involves a passive audience.
