Home Improvement Ideas for Putting Your House on the Market
Home improvement is the remodeling, altering or repairing of residential or non-commercial property. This includes the addition of rooms, fixtures and finishes. It also encompasses the improvement of landscapes, driveways, sidewalks, fences, pools and patios. In terms of the home itself, it refers to a kitchen or bathroom remodel. It can also mean a roof repair or new flooring.
The elevated prices of building materials may have stalled some home improvement projects this year, but that hasn’t deterred homeowners from making upgrades. More than 24.5 million homeowners completed at least one project last year, according to the American Housing Survey.
Sticking to a budget is an important part of any home improvement project. And 80% of respondents to NerdWallet’s September survey say they’re able to stick with their budget when doing home repairs or improvements, compared with 69% who said the same in 2018.

Here are some tips to help you stay within your budget and get the most bang for your buck.
